Up for grabs is an Omega Speedmaster Pre-moon, Pre-Professional
105.003-65 reference
245309XX serial number circa 1965 production
Excellent vintage condition case with nice lugs, still retaining the original beveled edges which are often lost through polishing.
Original small, close feet Omega logo winding crown
Dial is original, applied logo, pre-professional, step. Most of the tritium has flaked off from the plots but still appear attractive and not washed off on purpose to white. The dial shows some aging and also shows some color change fading, but I will not call it tropical or add any kind of premium in price for that, just an attractive fade. Hands are original and period correct.
Crystal is original Omega hesalite with skinny logo in center.
Bezel is original DON with nice aging and fits the overall look of the watch.
Caseback is original, double step with crisp Hippocampus on outside and correctly stamped 105.003-65 inside.
The watch winds smoothly, chrono runs, stops, and resets and shows 330 amplitude.
No box or papers.
The strap is lightly used vintage leather one with generic steel buckle.
